Lubbock High came oh, so close to ending their 24 game losing streak, before The Cooper Pirates stormed back winning it 29-21.

Cooper's first drive of the ballgame Travis Windham went up top And McLane Sanderson walked into the endzone as the pirates struck first 7-0.

But the Westerners had an answer and its a big one, Layven Armendariz, scrambled and went deep and to Dominique Zuniga for 49 yards, LHS tied it up at 7.

Cooper trying to fight back on their next possession, the Pirates lost the ball, Erin Lopez was there to scoop it up and it's in the right hands because he has speed, and took it the other way for 48 yards and the score, the pick six and extra point gave LHS the 14-7 lead.

Starting the 2nd Cooper fired back with a quick touchdown, Windham to Ryan Mosley in the corner the extra point no good so Lubbock High still lead14-13.
The Westerns were ooking better than ever when Armenderiz rolled out and took it himself from nine yards out, Lubbock High went up 21-13, but that would be all of their scoring for the night, as Cooper storms back to win it 29-21.
