    Monterey undefeated to start the year trying to keep that going against El Paso Americas.

    After an El Paso field goal tied it up, Jacob Bartholomae sneaks it in for the 1-yard touchdown 10-3 Monterey pulls back in front.
    In the 2nd quarter, Monterey on the goal line again,this time Byron Parker getting the touchdown, Monterey stretching their lead to 17-3.
    Americas responded here though as Isak Washington took the pitch and turnined on the afterburners, taking one all the way to the house but they didn't make the conversion.
    Monterey lead 17-9 at the half, and they would go on to win it 27-23.
