Coronado Falls Short In San Angelo

    The Coronado Mustangs fell in their District 2-5A opener in the Concho Valley against San Angelo Central 28-17.
    1st quarter Lubbock Coronado converted a 3rd down when Greg Hewitt found Robert Lee, that drive would later result in a field goal 3-0 Coronado.
    Later in the 1st San Angelo Central's Landon Sawyer had a 15 yd touchdown run to put the Bobcats on top 7-3.
    Back and forth they would go as Isaiah Tates took one in from 20 yards out for the touchdown but Central still had the 14-10 league.
    But then on the 3rd drive of the game The Bobcats got their 3rd touchdown as Mickey Scott found Sterling Smith for a 6 yd TD pass to put Central up 21-10, as they would go on to win it by a final of 28-17.
