A colony of bees in central Lubbock got the best of an exterminator Tuesday morning. An exterminator from Ds Pest Control was called out to take care of some bees at a house on 39th Street. As he was working, the bees aggressively swarmed him and some even got into his bee suit, stinging his face about 30 times! The fire department was called out, and they flushed out the bees with a water and pesticide mixture. Another exterminator at Ds then finished the job, and he says its important not to try and handle bees on your own. Says Brian Duncan of Ds, "I suggest homeowners not take any steps themselves to take control of the bees because if you get into the nest itself they will be very aggressive. If they come across some bees, do contact a professional pest control company."
