With everything the Texas Tech Men's Basketball Team has had to face, many are wondering if fans will even show up to the Spirit Arena for games this season.

"It's about the kids and Texas Tech and not the individuals," said Steve Fraze.

Steve Fraze has been part of the Texas Tech family for decades. He has season tickets to watch three different Red Raider teams: football and men's and women's basketball. He said the drama surrounding the Men's program hasn't scared him off.

"It doesn't matter, I'm going to support Texas Tech University and athletic program regardless of who the individual is," said Fraze.

The individual he's referring to is the now former head coach, Billy Gillispie. Fraze said he saw the difficulties the team faced last season.

"The prospects and everything but kind of disappointing," said Fraze.

But he expects the team to rebound.

"You know just based upon the record last year and they will want to prove that they were a good mix of players and athletes."

And begin rebuilding the program as a team.

"The kids will go ahead and have a successful season, not expecting to win the Big 12 or anything. But I hope they kind of gel together as a team and everything and have a good year."
