After 3 games in the 2012 Season,
the Tech defense is ranked number one in the country, A completely different
story than through the first 3 games of last season.
They have not faced anything close to what they will see the rest of the way, but last year, after 3 games the Defense was ranked 95th, and was giving up 410 yards per game against Texas State, New Mexico and Nevada. This year against Northwestern State, Texas State and New Mexico, They are only giving up 160 yards a game, something that has players on both sides of the ball confident in what they are doing.
