Reynaldo Rey Found Guilty of Capital Murder

A Lubbock jury handed down a guilty verdict in the capital murder trial of Reynaldo Rey.

Closing arguments began earlier this afternoon in the capital murder case of Reynaldo Rey, accused of killing an elderly Lubbock woman in June 1989.

Rey went decades without being caught.

Legal proceedings began in his case Monday, a jury was selected Tuesday and lawyers began presenting evidence Wednesday.

Rey will automatically get sentenced to life in prison.
