Shoppers, start your engines! Tax-free weekend kicks off at midnight Thursday! It will run through midnight on Sunday, and theres savings on all types of clothing and back to school gear. No sales tax means you save around $8 for every $100 you spend on designated items. Stores at South Plains Mall say its one of the busiest weekends of the year, and with people looking for more ways to cut back, they expect huge crowds this time around. Says Beth Brides, of South Plains Mall "Especially this year, I think more than ever, with high gas prices, grocery, and just cost of living, its really taken a toll in alot of ways in everybodys pockets, so I think even a small savings is gonna definitely help."
