Texas Tech Defeats Iowa State In Ames

Later in the First, Seth Doege picked off by A.J. Klien, he returns it 87 yards for the TD 7-0 ISU.
Second quarter, Tech defense not giving an inch though Cornelious Douglas with the interception... Tech only allowed 3 yards passing in the first half. Late in the 2nd Doege finds Jace Amaro and he appears to get in but the officials say he stepped out at the three. A few plays later though Doege finds Jakeem grant for the 11 yard TD pass, tied 7-7 at the half.
Cyclones striking first with a TD in the second half going up 13-7, but Tech responding, Javon bell making something happen on the bubble screen 47 yards inside the Cyclones 2. That setting up Darron Moore on the slant from Seth Doege 14-13 Tech.
To the fourth quarter Cornelius Douglas with another interception, an opportunistic Tech defense. That setting up Doege finding Eric Ward for the touchdown, Tech 21-13.
Iowa state looking to answer but Steel Jantz
fumbles the ball and Tech recovers. Ryan Bustin getting a chance to extend the
lead with less than 5 minutes to go from 42 yards out, it's
good and Tech goes up 24-13.
Last ditch effort for the Cyclones and Cody Davis is there with a game-clinching interception. Tech gladly taking this win in Ames... 24-13.
