A girls' basketball coach, well known in Lubbock, and around Texas, is facing charges of possession of child pornography.

47-year old Richard Romero turned himself in to the Burnet County Jail, after learning of the charges.

He's accused of making a 16-year old basketball player from Marble Falls send him nude photos of herself.

His attorney says he is self employed in Lubbock and has suspended all of his coaching duties until the case is closed.   We're told more charges against Romero may follow tomorrow.  He could end up facing charges of sexual assault of a child.  Check with EverythingLubbock.com to stay informed.
