Saturday's Texas Tech Game with OU is Sold Out

The advance sellout is the first for Texas Tech since the regular-season finale against Baylor in 2008, when Tech fans bought the last remaining tickets 12 days before kickoff. Saturday's game will mark the first sellout at Jones AT&T Stadium since Oklahoma State (60,454) on Oct. 16, 2010.
"On behalf of our football team, I want to say a big thank you to the fans for your support," Texas Tech Head Coach Tommy Tuberville remarked. "This is a big game for our football team and we are going to need the home field advantage. So come early, be loud, wear Black and stay late. Again, thank you for your support. It's great to be a Red Raider!"
With student overflow seating, a new Jones AT&T Stadium attendance is expected when the Red Raiders and Sooners kick off on Saturday afternoon. The game has been designated as an official "Black Out" game and all fans are encouraged to wear as much black to the game as possible.
The game will be televised regionally on ABC with a reverse national mirror on ESPN2, meaning fans that don't get the game on their ABC affiliate station will be able to watch on ESPN2.
Texas Tech fans are urged to purchase tickets for next week's game against West Virginia (2:30 p.m. on Oct. 13) as less than 5,000 tickets remain. Those tickets can be purchased online at texastech.com or through the athletics ticket office at (806) 742-TECH.
