Red Raider Outfitter says they make the black out shirts based on the demand from the students. They say the students get what the students want, and they really want these t-shirts.
Sales are the best they've been for black out shirts since 2009.
Stephen Spiegelberg, the manager at Red Raider Outfitter, said students have been piling into the store.
They've had lines out the door since Monday.
"Sales have been fantastic," Spiegelberg said. "It's been really fun this week around campus. Student body is fired up. There's a sense of pride. There's also a necessary need to protect the Jones on Saturday. And that seems to be the word going around. We've got to protect our house; we've got to protect the Jones."
Spiegelberg said it's intimidating for the opposing teams to come to a stadium and see a sea of black.
"People have memories of '08 when we were rushing the field and the entire field turned black," he said. "And it's intimidating. It's a neat thing."
