Police were called to the 1700 block of Texas Ave just before 1:00 a.m.

We're told the fight started at Melt and the shooting happened in the east alley behind the bars.

Initially, the first officers on scene radioed that three people were hit but officers on scene have not confirmed that number.

An eyewitness on scene, who did not want to be identified, tells EverythingLubbock.com that he heard at least six shots ring out then saw a group of five young, black males run to an '80s model Caprice.

As the suspects fled, the victims ran for help.

Another eyewitness, who is the GM at The Library, said at least one victim ran into his bar with his shirt off.
