What police call a suspicious crime scene in front of Rudy's restaurant has them still searching for a suspect...and a victim. It was around 5:30 Saturday evening when police came out to the parking lot for a fight in progress call. But when they arrived all that was left of any scuffle was blood and a bullet shell casing....no victim.
Witnesses told police they saw two men fighting inside a silver Dodge Stratus. Police say the fight continued outside the car, and one of the men pulled out a gun. Police say they never recieved any call for shots fired, but the scene painted a much more gruesome picture than the stories they were told.
Captain Greg Stevens, Lubbock Police Dept.:
"Most people are going to go get some kind of treatment for any kind of gunshot wound even if it's superficial and we just haven't been able to find that yet there's been no reports of that from hospitals minor emergency clinics or anything of that nature."
Police did find the owners of the silver car but officials say they didn't have any information about the fight or the people involved. Police are asking for your help tonight. If you have any information about the fight on Saturday or know anyone with a suspicious injury, call the Crimeline at 741-1000.
