After a two week break we had games
again at Lowrey field and it was Lubbock High trying to get their 2nd in 3
weeks against Plainview.
Both of these teams beginning district play tonight at Plains Capital Park
1st quarter Wes McCutheon and Daniel
Miller couldn't get it together, and they put the ball on the carpet, giving
Lubbock High the early turnover.
A few plays later they cash in as
Brandon Hernandez rumbled in making it 6-0 Lubbock High.
In the 2nd, Its Hernandez
again, After almost fumbling, Lubbock High's Hernandez took it in for the
score, as Lubbock High jumped out in front 13-0.
But then back came Plainview, Mccutheon kept it himself, and
found the paint, 13-6 Westerners.
Then a few plays later Tony Phan
picked off Layven Arminderez, And took it deep into Westerner territory. That
would lead to a Bulldog score they were tied at 13 at the half.
But Lubbock High pulled this one out in the end 47-38 their 2nd win of the year and they are 1-0 in district.
