Residents in Hale County saw a major line of storms move through early Friday night that were so severe they even produced a tornado.

The tornado was spotted--and confirmed--touching down around 7:00 p.m. Friday night near Happy Union, TX, about five miles east of Abernathy on Hwy 54.

Elsewhere, the storms caused lots of flooding on local streets and in area cotton fields.

The Hale Center High school football game had to be postponed because the football stadium lost power.
