Last night Lubbock High opening district with Plainview at Plains Capital Park.
First quarter, Wes McCutheon and Daniel Miller can't get it together and they put the ball on the carpet. Lubbock High with the early turnover.

A few plays later they cash in as Brandon Hernandez rumbles in 6-0 Lubbock High. Now in the second its Hernandez again after almost fumbling, Lubbock High jumps out in front 13-0. But then here come Plainview, McCutheon keeps it himself and finds the paint here.

Then a few plays later Tony Phan picks off Layven Arminderez and he is going to take this deep into Westerner territory. That would lead to a Bulldog score, they were tied at halftime.

But Lubbock gets the win in this one, 47-38, their first district win in almost three years. Next up for Lubbock High a trip to Hereford.
