1. Daredevil Completes Supersonic Space Dive
Felix Baumgartner became the first person to break the speed of sound with only his body on Sunday after an historic skydive from the edge of outer space. Baumgartner also set the record for highest free-fall without a parachute (119,846 feet). He landed on his feet in the New Mexico desert after free-falling for four minutes and 20 seconds at speeds reaching 833 miles per hour.
2. Poll: Romney Pulls Ahead of Obama
A new ABC News/Washington Post poll shows Mitt Romney now numerically pulling ahead of President Obama . At the same time, the number of registered voters who say the country is on the wrong track has hit its lowest number in nearly three years at 56 percent.
3. Tropical Storm Rafael Soaks Caribbean
The outer bands of Tropical Storm Rafael soaked parts of the Caribbean on Sunday, as its center moved over the ocean on a possible track toward Bermuda. Forecasters at the U.S. National Hurricane Center say the storm could become a hurricane by late Monday as it moves over the Atlantic, possibly approaching Bermuda late Tuesday.
4. Peanut Butter Recall Expanded
A New Mexico food company that produced peanut butter connected to an outbreak of salmonella has expanded its recall of products to also include roasted and raw peanuts. Sunland Inc. manufactured peanut butter sold at Trader Joe's that has been linked to 35 salmonella cases across 19 states.
5. Man Arrested in Connection with Wyoming Kidnapping
The FBI says authorities have arrested a man in connection with the kidnapping of a Wyoming girl. Police say the man lured the 11-year-old into his SUV last Monday claiming he needed help finding a missing puppy. The girl was found several hours later.
