1. Names Released in Maine Zumba Sex Scandal
Police released the first round of names of people they say paid for sex with a Zumba instructor charged with running a prostitution operation out of her studio on Monday. Police in the small seaside town of Kennebunk, Maine released 21 names of the more than 150 people suspected with being clients of Zumba instructor Alexis Wright.
2. Hurricane Paul Weakens to Category 2
Hurricane Paul weakened to a Category 2 storm in the Pacific overnight, but is still hovering near the western coast of Mexico. Paul's maximum sustained winds decreased to 110 miles per hour, the National Hurricane Center said late Monday night.
3. Gas Prices Down 3 Cents
The weekly average of a price of gallon of regular gas is $3.82, down 3 cents from last week, according to the Department of Energy. This price is still up 34 cents from one year ago.
4. Retail Sales Jump 1.1 Percent
Figures released Monday by the Commerce Department revealed that Americans spent more money at retailers in September, causing retail sales to jump 1.1 percent last month. This spike is the best two months of sales the retail economy has seen in two years.
5. 2 Found Alive at Glacier National Park
Officials and family members say two men lost in Glacier National Park in Montana were found alive on Monday. According to the park's Facebook page, "initial information indicates they are well." Both men are from Virginia.
