Here is the official release from the City of Lubbock:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CITY OF LUBBOCK
October 15, 2012

Paving of the southbound lanes on Frankford Avenue between 98th Street and 114th Street will begin tomorrow night and last through early afternoon on Wednesday.  The lanes will be part of a new 7-lane concrete thoroughfare.

This section of Frankford Avenue is directly adjacent to a school.  The contractor will pave this section at night to avoid disrupting school traffic and allow the completion of the section in a timely manner.  This section of Frankford Avenue is not in a residential area so disruption to the public should be minimal.

The City of Lubbock would like to thank everyone in this area for their continued cooperation during the upgrades to the infrastructure in their area of town.
