Regardless of classification, Ropes and Meadow is one of the biggest rivalries in the area. A lot of that has to do with proximity. The two towns are only six miles apart.

And this year, the ante was upped a little bit with both teams being in the top 25.

Early on, Jonathan Flores got into the end zone for Meadow to give the Broncos a 21-14 lead. But Ropes answered with a touchdown pass of their own when Matthew Martinez found Lawrence Cruz to pull within one. And the Eagles found a way to win it and earn bragging rights with a tight 48-37 win.
