The homicide investigation involving the death of Monica Isabel Adams seems to be similar to other Lubbock murders from the past ten years.

Investigations continue on several murders involving prostitutes whose bodies have been dumped in Lubbock's rural outskirts.

The most recent is the murder of Selena Kuykendall.  She was stabbed and beaten to deaath in April of 2007.

This latest victim was found just a short drive away from where Kuykendall's body was found.

Police say it is too early to make connections between the cases.
