Dorothy Kennedy with the Lubbock elections office said early voting has been problem free, but rumors online and in the media have had folks worried about polling stations in Lubbock.

"We've had some calls with some people saying have we had some problems with the touch screens," Kennedy said. "What happened was a person was listening to a radio station in Dallas on their computer, because we don't have touch screens in Lubbock County."

Kennedy said their office hasn't had any problems this week just a little confusion.

"Just a handful of people who may have been confused or thought they had a problem with our equipment," Kennedy said.

Kennedy said this is a common problem during election season.

She said her office has taken every precaution though.

"We have checked and tested all of our equipment here in Lubbock county," Kennedy said. "We bring all the candidates in that are on the local ballot and we ask them to review the ballot. When the review process came through this is the equipment that was way ahead."

Kennedy encourages people who have worries to test the equipment before they vote.

"They can come and test and play with the equipment," Kennedy said. "We'll walk them through how to use it before they go vote live for the real thing."
