Williams was suspended earlier this month after allegations he lied about his checkered past on an application to work at the department came to light.
Lubbock attorney Stephen Hamilton and private investigator uncovered documents earlier this month that show Williams was not forthcoming on his application to become an officer with the Brownfield PD.
Hamilton filed a 275-page document with a judge in Brownfield that shows Williams was investigated for having sex with a 14-year-old girl while serving as a police officer in Kermit, TX in 1995.
The girl's father declined to press charges against Williams but he was fired from the department and the Kermit PD sent in a form to the state licensing agency revoking his Peace Officer's license.
A copy of Williams' application to the Brownfield PD obtained by KAMC Investigates shows Williams did not disclose any of that when he applied in 2006.
Kevin Overstreet, a licensed police officer and private investigator in Lubbock, presented criminal charges against Williams to Terry County District Attorney Ramon Gallegos earlier this month.
Overstreet requested Gallegos remove himself from the case because he is listed as a witness in the investigation.
So far, there is no word on whether or not Gallegos has removed himself from the case and no indication the charges have been presented to a grand jury.
