It's back-to-school time! In less than 10 hours, students of all ages across Lubbock will be saying good-bye to summer vacation and hello to classes, books, and studying. All LISD schools, along with many other area schools, start classes bright and early Monday morning. Many teachers have spent the last two weeks fine-tuning their curriculum and decorating their rooms. Bus drivers have been brushing up on rules and regulations so, they can get the kids to school safely, and the students have been busy finishing their summer reading assignments and stocking up on supplies. The kids say there are a lot of reasons why they're actually looking forward to the new school year, and bus drivers say with classes back in session, they hope motorists stay alert. They remind everyone, if you see a bus unloading or picking-up kids, and they have their stop sign out, you do have to stop, no matter which direction you are traveling.  If you don't, you could face a hefty fine.
