Lubbock High Clinches Playoff Spot, Loses 51-6 To Frenship

The Lubbock High Westerners try to make the playoffs for the first time since 1975. Back when Lubbock High Head Coach Jason Strunk had not even been born yet but they need to beat Frenship or have Plainview lose to Hereford.

The first part of that equation includes a very tough Frenship Tiger team. Right out of the gate, not a good start for Lubbock High as Layven Armenderez is sacked for an 8 yard loss by Landon Hope. But he totally redeems himself here converting a 3rd and 18 pass to Erin Lopez Lubbock High gets the first down. But Lubbock High would stall out and make Frenship go three and out on the following drive.

Leading to this Trevor Lloyd fakes to D'Maujeric Tucker and finds Cade Davis wide open in the endzone. The Tigers strike first, they go on top 7-0 early.

Then next series Trevor Lloyd doing it with his feet here, busts off the big run, before finally being brought down inside Lubbock High territory, first down Tigers.

A few plays later they give to Tucker and he goes in for the Frenship touchdown. They take the 14-0 lead.

Still in the 1st, Lubbock High trying to get something going, but Cory Schovanec, cant hang on to it. So Peyton Elliott picks it up and takes it deep into Westerner Territory.

Setting up Tucker again his second score of the night and that gives the Tigers the commanding 21-0 first quarter lead.

As they go on to win this one by a final of 51-6.
