Monterey Keeps It Rolling, Defeating Palo Duro 38-16

The Monterey Plainsmen coming off an emotional victory in the Spurs game over Lubbock High but from here on out, it's win or time to play basketball.

In the first quarter, Monterey ball and Barthalomae drops back and finds Joh Fay in the endzone, a 30 yard touchdown reception to strike first, Monterey up 7-0.

On into the second, Palo Duro getting to the Plainsmen 30 and will stop there, settling for a field goal, Plainsmen 7-3.

Later, Barthalomae sneaks it to Vincent Johnson, faking out the camera guy and Johnson takes it all the way inside the 10 yard line and that will set up Barthalomae, punching it in from one yard out. Monterey tacking on the lead, 14-3. Monterey again getting down inside the red zone and they'll put it in the hands of Travon Benton, taking care of business as he's in for the score, Plainsmen go up 21-3 with a minute left in the half.

The Plainsmen will advance to the next round beating Palo Duro, 38-16.
