Yellow Cabs Work With Law Enforcement to Find Criminals

Yellow cabs across the Hub City are using new software to make your rides a little safer. The Yellow Cab Company has always worked with law enforcement to track down criminals riding around Lubbock, but now theyve traded their pen and paper route for a more efficient computer system. This system lets them track all cab customers and log their destinations, helping police find criminals looking for a quick way out of town. "They do call quite a bit. Theyve been out twice today. It just gives us the perfect paper trail of if theyre looking for somebody we can find out if they called in here its gonna have a record," says Steve Sexton, VP of Yellow Cab Company. He says the new system also helps make taxi rides more efficient, allowing drivers to pick you up and get you to your destination a little faster.
