Estacado Falls to Perryton In First Round

To the gridiron, talking about high school football the first round of the playoffs continued today including the Estacado Matadors facing off against the Perryton Rangers.

In the first, no score yet, Estacado's Tamory Terry on the run and a front flip over defender for the first down.

Later in the drive the Matadors' Jaleen Tennison on the QB keeper for a 21 yard touchdown and it's  7-0 Estacado.

Still in the first, Estacado kick and Perryton's Jerry Rodriquez loses the ball but another Ranger will recover still Perryton ball. Same drive, 2nd quarter on 4th & 4 Perryton goes for it, QB Justin Ventura finds Calum Townsend for 1st down.

Then Ventura's pass complete to Jake Whittenburg for the touchdown to tie game at 7.

Perryton goes onto win 28-19 and they advance to face Greenwood in the area round.
