Lack of Hostess Products in United Grocery Stores

According to Eddie Owens with United, that may be deceiving. The shelves have been stocked with the products pushed up front, meaning they look full even though there is a lack of the product.
At the United on 82nd Street and Boston, there were no Twinkies or Ding-Dongs on the shelves.
Owens said they haven't gotten a new shipment or had contact with the company in over a week.
"There's not much product here in all honesty, obviously we will have to find products we can replace them with in the future," said Owens early Monday. "But I guess you can never really completely replace a Twinkie, it's an icon, and has been for my entire life."
Hostess products could be saved. As of late Monday afternoon, the Bankruptcy Court Judge ordered Hostess and it's second largest union to go into mediation beginning Tuesday.
