She said she paid, he said he never saw the payment, but the money order was cashed by someone.

Iona Campbell said she was told the only person able to cash it was her or her landlord.

Regardless, Campbell was served a notice of eviction and her and her five children may find themselves homeless for the holidays.

"I'm going to stand up for my babies because they don't deserve to be going through stuff like this."

Iona Campbell admits she's not able to pay the full $450 to her landlord, Ronnie Byrd, for rent, but she says she tries.

"When I get paid the next few weeks on a Friday I call and say 'hey how much is my late fees, plus what I already owe you?' so that I can get it, and I pay that," said Campbell.

This month Campbell says she put a 350 dollar money order in the apartments mailbox...Byrd tells us he never saw.

But Campbell showed us the proof

"I mean nobody else will stand up," she said.

Campbell thought she was on her own, until KLBK got calls from more tenants saying they too were having problems at sunset manor.

"I want them to fix it if we're going to have to live here it needs to be fixed, I mean there's no reason why anyone should live like that," said Chelsea Clark.

"He doesn't come to fix any problems around here," said amber miller, "my window had been broken since we moved and he's never fixed it, I've been here since March."

"The fact of it is it's not like I'm a tenant that's not trying to pay my rent, I am," said Campbell, "but at the same time it's like he's ripping me off."

"I went to legal aid and then I went to you guys, because I don't think its right," she said.

After calling western union, Campbell said they told her the only two people able to cash the money order would be her and the person she made the check out to, Byrd.

"I explained to western union what he said that somebody got the money order then crossed his name out, put  their name under there and cashed it," Campbell said, "western union told me there's no way that's possible."

Monday evening Campbell was served with an eviction notice.

"If he evicts me and my kids we don't have anywhere else to go that's just the bottom line we'll be back at square one.

            Homeless.

"I think he's trying to rip me off and i just don't like that," she said.
