Now on to some high school football
where a few of our area teams are lucky enough to be practicing on Thanksgiving
week, meaning they are still alive with a chance for that State Championship.
One of those teams, the Monterey Plainsmen, have endured a roller coaster season, after starting out so well this season they struggled to start district play, then suffered the tragic loss of their defensive coordinator Reese Flemming in the midst of this current 4 game winning streak. But the Plainsmen have come together and they are embracing the opportunity to be practicing on Thanksgiving.
