Kaufman Named Broyles Award Finalist

The man charged with stopping the 2nd ranked Baylor offense, defensive coordinator Art Kaufman was named as one of 29 finalists today for the Frank Broyles award honoring the nation's top assistant coach.

Kaufman, in his first year at Texas Tech, has taken the defense from the last ranked unit in the country last year to the 25th ranked defense this year. Kaufman is also joined on that list by Texas A&M offensive coordinator and former Red Raider quarterback, Kliff Kingsbury.
