Monterey Tops El Paso Andress, 21-18

Monterey took care of business in their area round matinee with El Paso Andress, winning 21-18, at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa.

The Plainsmen held a 21-10 lead in the fourth and held off a late surge by the Eagles to advance.

This was the first time Monterey qualified for the area around since 2007. They will play the winner of Birdville and Crowley in the regional round.
