Lubbock Police were called to a dead body found at a trailer park in south Lubbock Wednesday night.

LPD spokesman Sgt. Jonathan Stewart said the suspicious nature of the body triggered a homicide investigation.

In a statement Thursday morning, Stewart identified the victim as Jodi Shannon Winn, a 32-year old woman. In the same statement he said there were no suspects in custody, and that the manner and cause of death were unknown.

The scene at the trailer park was quiet Wednesday night. No neighbors were outside and police did not have their flashing lights on.

LPD did, however, has their mobile command post on sight--an asset they did not use while investigating the stabbing death in central Lubbock earlier in the day.

Stewart said homicide detectives went right from one crime scene to the other after getting the calls Wednesday night.

He said it was unusual to have to homicides happen in Lubbock in the same day.
