A Lubbock teenager is behind bars charged with critically injuring his two month old son.

According to the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to 19109 CR 2400 Wednesday night in reference to a two month old child, unresponsive and not breathing.

Upon arrival deputies administered CPR until EMS arrived and were able to resuscitate the infant.

The infant was transported to UMC via Aerocare where he was discovered to have sustained multiple injuries. Thursday afternoon the infant is listed in critical condition.

Deputies took the infant's father 17 year old Jayden Hamilton into custody. He is in the Lubbock County Jail awaiting charges of injury to a child.

Neighbors say Hamilton is a good kid who would not have purposely harmed his child.

KAMC has learned Child Protective Services is now involved in this case.
