Today O.L. Slaton Junior High's Honor Society donated $447 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

It's money they raised by participating in a pajama day at school and by writing letters to santa for a department store campaign.

To help the kids see where their money is going..the school threw a wish-granted party for 9-year-old Iva Cruse.

Iva was born with a heart condition where only the right side of her heart developed.

Over the summer, Make-A-Wish sent her and her family to disney world to enjoy their first ever vacation as a a family.

"It was amazing you know, having a sick child that's not something you normally get to do," said Cynthia Haynes, Iva's mother.  "Last summer was hospital we had to have a surgery last summer so that's your summer.  You don't get to go on vacation, and financially you can't when you have a sick child.  So being able to do this is something that we will always always remember."
