This is Kathy Blair's first year to ring a bell for the Salvation Army.
"I thought that singing might bring in more donations," said Blair.
Blair says she decided to help spread the Christmas spirit to those walking in and out of the south plains mall by singing.
"One guys said get rid of the kettle and just sing and I said no I'm doing something for a good because here you know that's what its all about the salvation army," said Blair.
"She's got a beautiful voice yeah enjoyed it.
Coincidentally, Blair is set up under an arch way, where the acoustics help project her voice.
"I hear people continue to sing down the side walk and its like bring the Christmas spirit to the town," said Blair.
"We've had a lot of calls and a lot of compliments on how she's doing," said Justin Eatherly.
Eatherly, with the Salvation Army said he hopes to have more bell ringers like Blair.
"We're going to beg her to come back," he said.
"That's amazing to get people to understand what she's here for mot only just during this season but all the time," said a man passing by.
"It seems to bring so much joy to everybody that I've got to keep doing it," said Blair.
