Miracles Christmas Parade: Change in route

The parade starts at 6 pm and will run for about 2 hours. Parade officials are expecting around 30,000 people to line 34th Street.

The parade benefits Toys for Tots and Marines will be walking along the parade route taking toy donations.

This years theme is The 12 Days of Christmas and Chairman Andy Turner knows how important the parade has become to Lubbock.

"The first year was 3 miles and now it's 2 miles. It turned into a huge Christmas event with thousands and thousands of spectators. It's really grown into something Lubbock depends on."
