Next Coach Important for Lubbock's Economy

The football program is an integral part of Texas Tech University and of the city of Lubbock.
Fans provide major profits from ticket sales, hotel stays, and food purchases that go directly into our economy.
But Lubbock Chamber of Commerce President Eddie McBride said in order for the city to keep reaping those benefits, Tech needs the right coach. A coach that not only wins games, but that has the community's support.
"The more folks you have attend a football game then obviously the more economic impact that brings toward Lubbock," said McBride. "So of course we want not only the best coach the University can afford, but we also want that program obviously have a good impact on the community."
