12-12-12 A Special Day For a Some Lubbock Families

Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Carter were one of 17 Lubbock couples to tie the knot on 12/12/12.

"Today was as good of a day as any, so why wait any longer. This is the perfect opportunities to take advantage of a cool date," said Brandon Carter.

"12/12/12 at 12:12. Just wanted a different unique day and not everybody had gone at that time so we were like lets go. Oh yeah very special," said Jose Ceuvas. 

Some couples did it for luck, others so they would never forget their anniversary.

 "I shouldn't be able to forget this date that is for sure," said Carter.

"No never I will not forget it," said Ceuvas.

Its one thing to be purposefully get married on 12/12/12. It's another to be born on 12/12/12. So far 8 babies have been born at Covenant Hospital including Mykah Ramos.

"I mean its just a normal day, regular day I didn't really, no nothing special, you know, now its special," said Marciano Ramos.

Marciano Ramos says they didn't plan it, but they're happy their daughter will have a unique birthday.

"A couple weeks ago we had an ultra sound done, and the baby stopped growing so they were monitoring her really close. And we came in yesterday and we ended up staying and had the baby today," said Ramos.
