Thursday evening, KLBK Sports spoke with Mike Leach on the phone who says he is very happy for his former quarterback.

Leach coached Kingsbury from 2000 to 2002, when Kliff completed over 65 percent of his passes, throwing for 11,994 yards and 91 touchdowns. Coach Leach says he is thrilled for his former QB, who knows what it takes to win at Texas Tech.
