They got the call around 7:20 a.m., Tuesday morning. A white man was walking down 13th street near avenue W and had apparently been stabbed.
When they arrived they found the 26-year-old man man near that intersection.
Police also found the weapon near the alley: a steak knife without a handle.
EMS took the man to UMC with a three inch laceration to his chest. They noted there was no blood loss.
So far, police have made no arrests for the aggravated assault, and the only suspect description they have is that of a black or hispanic man.
