The Texas Tech basketball team, was looking to put a tough loss to McNeese State behind them on Thursday night, but it would not be an easy task tonight against a tough Alabama squad out of the SEC.

New head football coach Kliff Kingsbury signed autographs and took pictures with fans before the game.

In the 1st half, Alabama came out strong, as Trevor Lacey knocked down his 2nd 3 of the ballgame to take the 6-0 lead, and start the game on an 8-0 run.

But back came the Red Raiders, as Jamal Williams hit a three and the Red Raiders were within three at that point.

Later in the 1st half, Retin Obasohan gets the bucket and the foul and 'Bama took the 27-12 lead.

But the Red Raiders would not go away, as Jordan Tolbert finished with the slam dunk, Red Raiders down by 16.  Alabama led 43-27 at the break.

But Kliff Kingsbury talked to the crowd at half time and it must have fired the team up too.

In the second half Tech came out red hot. Jordan Tolbert capped a 20-5 run with an and 1, getting Tech back within 4.

With under a minute to play, tech was down 5 And Ty Nurse hit a three to pull the Red Raiders within 2.

Then under 20 seconds to play, Tech was trying to tie the game up, but couldn't get it to go and Tech had to foul.

And that would do it, but a huge comeback fell short for Texas Tech, down 20 at the beginning of the 2nd half. But they fall 66-62.
