Police are still investigating a stand off turned deadly. They haven't made a statement on what happened this afternoon, but we spoke with a witness who described the scene.
"He just started shooting 5 shots or 4 shots we heard, we just heard all his family yelling," said one witness, who asked to remain anonymous.
She says she saw police shoot her neighbor who was holding a knife in the middle of the street.
"They could have used a taser gun they didn't have to use a gun in front of the family members," she said.
She says police didn't use all their options before pulling the trigger.
"He could have dropped the knife they didn't have to shoot him, I mean the taser gun is gonna shock him he would have fallen to the ground," she said.
Now she wants a full investigation.
"I just want justice for his family I mean they killed him the wrong way," she said.
Police have not confirmed any details of the case. But this neighbor says this shooting has shocked their community.
I mean this is like the first shooting ever. I mean this is a good friendly neighborhood. Tahoka is a good town and everything I mean. This is shocking for everybody here in Tahoka.
The Tahoka City Manager and Mayor will be making a statement on this incident tomorrow.
