Grandmother and Grandchildren Escape House Fire

A grandmother and her grandchildren escape a house fire at the 4600 block of 53rd street.

Fire fighters arrived on scene Monday night around 8 to a house up in flames from a fire that started in a bedroom.

The grandmother and children were able to escape the home safely with out any injuries.

The families pets were stuck inside the home, three were removed safely, one is still missing and unfortunately one died in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still underinvestigation.
