Covenant, UMC Welcome First Babies of 2013

Jewl Johnson was born late last night at Covenant, making him the last baby born there in 2012.

Parent's Brendon Johnson, and Ronnie Brokenleg said they are very excited to welcome their first child to the family.

"I feel very happy and excited that I finally get to see my precious baby girl," said Johnson.

And Davina Segura was born at 3:59 a.m. on New Year's, making her Covenant's first baby of the New Year. Her father, Robert Salazar, said New Year's birthday's actually run in the family, and his third daughter is a blessing in his life.

Salazar and partner Beatriz Segura, now have three daughters.

"I mean God blessed us with another beautiful baby and she got blessed today being born around the New Year," said Salazar. "Especially the first one born it's just real exciting. We're just very proud..proud of our kids."

Both couples say they're extremely happy to have healthy babies that they get to take home in just a few days.
