Former Texas Tech turned University of Alabama president Guy Bailey spoke out about the real reason he left his alma mater.
You'll remember, Bailey said he resigned from Alabama because of his wife, Jan's health.
But according to AL.com, there's more to the story.
Bailey told a reporter his wife's condition didn't worsen after he took the Alabama job.
Instead, he said there was a misunderstanding when it came to the social requirements, including numerous appearances, required by the university president's wife.
According to the same report, Jan's condition was understood at Texas Tech and her health and limitations were "not an issue in Lubbock."
