A man was shot at the forty-three hundred hundred block of 60th street where one neighbor said she saw a blue car flee the scene.

The victim has been identified as Dustin McClelland and the suspect has been identified as David Castanada.

"I couldn't figure out if it was a drive by shooting or a personal thing. Then his mom and sister came out screaming," said Jo Parker, the victim's neighbor.

The car was tracked to Christ the King school, where Castanada was found laying on the ground dead. Reportedly, the suspect's mother called police earlier saying her son had left a suicide note at her home.

"The police told me he said you don't have to be afraid," said Parker. "Because the person that shot this young man killed himself."

Parker said the McClelland was at his parents house and that he and his family were friends of hers.

"This is a young man that we love I think maybe twenty four he's my grandsons age he's just such a sweetie I just hope he's okay but it didn't sound," said Parker.

McClelland died at 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday January 9th, at UMC.
