1. Snow Dusts Los Angeles Area

Up to 5 inches of snow dusted mountains, hills and low elevation deserts around Los Angeles on Thursday. The snow was so heavy in some areas that the interstate had to be closed twice.

2. NRA Blasts Biden

The NRA blasted Vice President Joe Biden after a meeting with gun ownership groups on Thursday saying that the White House is promoting policies that won't solve gun violence issues and violates Americans' Second Amendment Rights.

3. United Has No Plans to Jettison Dreamliners

United Airlines, which operates the 6 Boeing 787 Dreamliners being flown by a domestic airline, says it has no plans to take the aircrafts out of service. The announcement comes after a fire broke out on one of the planes this week and following several incidents last year.

4. Calif. Teacher Talks Down School Shooter

A teacher at a California high school is being hailed a hero after talking a 16-year-old shooter into putting down his gun after he opened fire in a classroom on Thursday. The teacher talked the teen into turning himself in after wounding another student.

5. Annual Gas Bill To Drop

Drivers' annual gas bills are expected to drop for the first time in 4 years in 2013. According to the Energy Department, the average price of a gallon of gas will fall 5 percent to $3.44 this year.
